Albany County Proposal 1: Replace elected coroners with an appointed medical examiner
Proposal one, an amendment Replacing Coroners with Medical Examiners. An Albany County Charter amendment repealing the elected office of County Coroner(s) and replacing it with the appointed office of County Medical Examiner. Establishes required credentialing for County Medical Examiners. A "Yes" vote repeals the elected office of Coroner and replaces it with the appointed office of Medical Examiner. A "No" vote maintains the elected office of Coroner.
Albany County Proposal 2: Qualifications and discipline for county legislators
Proposal two, an amendment Establishing Additional Qualifications for County Legislators. An Albany County Charter amendment which establishes additional qualifications for the position of County Legislator. The amendment also establishes procedures for investigating and disciplining County Legislators for violating these rules. A "Yes" vote adopts additional qualifications for elected County Legislators. A "No" vote would leave the County Charter unchanged.
