Town of Clinton Proposition 1: appointed town clerk
Shall Local Law 1 of 2026 entitled "A Local Law Abolishing the Elective Office of Town Clerk and providing that the Office Shall Thereafter Be Filled by the Appointment of Town Board," be approved? A vote for "Yes" would transition Town Clerk to an appointed position beginning January 1, 2027. A vote for "No" would leave the Town Clerk as an elected position.
