The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the previously voted millage levied by Saugatuck Township, Allegan County, Michigan, reduced by the required millage rollback to .9204 mills, be renewed and increased back to the original levy of .9967 mills ($.9967 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of five years (2027 through 2031, inclusive), for the purpose of paving, repairing, constructing, or reconstructing roads, sidewalks, bridges, drainage structures, or non-motorized trails or making pedestrian safety improvements, which levy is estimated to raise a total of $564,270.00 in the first year, and shall the Township be authorized to levy said tax?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews Saugatuck Township's road millage for 2027–2031 and restores it to 0.9967 mill for roads, sidewalks, bridges, drainage, trails and pedestrian safety.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal.
