Shall Star Township impose an increase of up to 1 mills ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 4 years, 2026 through 2029 inclusive, on all taxable real and personal property in the Township, for the purpose of providing township road improvements (including maintenance and repairs), which 1 mill increase will raise an estimated $62,594 in the first year the millage is levied?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a township tax increase of up to 1 mill for 4 years (2026-2029) for township road improvements, maintenance and repairs.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the increase.
