The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the City of Buchanan be authorized to renew and levy a total of 0.80 mill on the taxable value of all taxable property in the City of Buchanan, which is equal to $.80 per each $1,000 of taxable value, for the purpose of providing public transportation including the operation of the "Dial-A-Ride" Bus System, currently operated by Niles Dial-A-Ride, more commonly known as "DART," and more properly known as the "Dial-A-Ride Transportation System," for a period of four (4) consecutive years, to be levied in 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030? The amount of revenue generated in the first year of the levy (2027) will be approximately $96,039.00. The proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 0.8-mill levy for four years (2027–2030) for the Dial-A-Ride bus system operated by Niles Dial-A-Ride (DART); about $96,039 in 2027.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal.
