This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the building and site sinking fund millage that expires with the 2027 tax levy.Shall the currently authorized millage rate of 1.1825 mills ($1.1825 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) which may be assessed against all property in Coloma Community Schools, Berrien and Van Buren Counties, Michigan, be renewed for a period of 10 years, 2028 to 2037, inclusive, to continue to provide for a sinking fund for the purchase of real estate for sites for, and the construction or repair of, school buildings; for school security improvements; for the acquisition or upgrading of technology; and all other purposes authorized by law; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2028 is approximately $658,517 (this is a renewal of millage that will expire with the 2027 tax levy)?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 1.1825-mill sinking fund levy for 10 years (2028–2037) for school buildings, security and technology; about $658,517 in 2028.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal.
