NILES CHARTER TOWNSHIP ORDAINS:Section 1. Effective Date and Scope. This ordinance shall take effect immediately after certification of the election at which it is approved by the electors. The scope of this ordinance is limited to providing for the number of Marijuana Establishments allowed to operate in the township at any one time. Section 2. Amendment or Repeal. On and after the effective date of the Local Marijuana Control Ordinance, any existing ordinances, resolutions, parts of ordinances or sections in conflict with provisions of this ordinance, and specifically the “Niles Charter Township Prohibition of Marijuana Establishment Ordinance” would be amended or repealed only to the extent necessary to give this proposed ordinance full force and effect. Section 3. Four Marijuana Retail Establishments Allowed. Four (4) Adult Use retail marihuana establishments are allowed to operate within the township at any one time. Shall this Ordinance be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote adopts an ordinance allowing up to four adult-use retail marijuana establishments in the township, amending the township's prohibition ordinance as needed.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the ordinance and leaves the township's existing marijuana ordinances unchanged.
