Should Royalton Township, Berrien County, Michigan, pursuant to Section 20948 of the Public Health Code, Act 368 of the Michigan Public Acts, 1978, as amended, and Public Act 33 of the Michigan Public Acts, 1951, as amended, MCL 41.801 et. seq., raise money to equip, maintain and operate or to contract for, ambulance services by annual special assessments levies of up to 0.75 mill ($0.75 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) on all real property in the Township that is not exempt from property taxes, for a period of ten (10)years, with the levies to be from 2027 to 2036, to provide funding for the 2027 to 2036 calendar years? If approved and fully levied in December 2027, the estimated revenue from this special assessment collected in the first year would be $290,658.00.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote authorizes annual special assessments of up to 0.75 mill for 10 years (2027–2036) for township ambulance services; about $290,658 the first year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the ambulance special assessment.
