Should Royalton Township, Berrien County, Michigan, pursuant to Public Act 33 of the Michigan Public Acts, 1951, as amended, MCL 41.801 et. seq., raise money to equip, maintain, and operate the Township Fire Department by annual special assessments levies of up to 1.25 mills ($1.25 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) on all real property in the Township that is not exempt from property taxes, for a period of ten (10) years, with the levies to be from 2027 to 2036, to provide funding for the 2027 to 2036 calendar years,? If approved and fully levied in December 2027, the estimated revenue from this special assessment collected in the first year would be $484,430.00.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote authorizes annual special assessments of up to 1.25 mills for 10 years (2027–2036) to equip, maintain and operate the township fire department.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the fire department special assessment.
