The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the expired, previous voted increase in the tax limitation, on the total amount of taxes which may be assessed against all taxable valuation of all property in Watervliet City liable for taxation, of 1.9712 mills ($1.97 per each $1,000.00 of taxable value), and unchanged by the required millage rollbacks be renewed at up to 1.9712 mills ($1.9712 per each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) and levied for a period of two years, 2027 through 2028, inclusive, for the purpose of supporting fire protection services in the City of Watervliet, raising an estimated $93,356.69 in the first year the millage is levied.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews up to 1.9712 mills for two years (2027–2028) for fire protection services in the city; about $93,357 the first year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal.
