The question, as printed on the ballot
It is proposed that the current operating millage levied by Bath Charter Township be increased by 1.00 mills. This would permit the Township to levy a total of 4.548 mills for general operating purposes, which is authorized by the Township Charter. The Township could levy the 4.548 millage, subject to applicable rollbacks, from 2026 through 2035. If approved, the general operating revenue for the Township would increase by about $609,500.00, allowing for a grand total of approximately $2,775,000.00 raised for general operating purposes in 2026. If approved, you would pay an additional $1.00 for each $1,000 of your taxable real and personal property. Should the proposed increase to the general operating millage be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote raises the township's general operating levy by 1 mill, to a total of 4.548 mills, for 2026–2035, about $609,500 more in 2026.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the increase; the township's operating levy stays at its current rate.
