The question, as printed on the ballot

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the building and site sinking fund millage that expires with the 2027 tax levy. Shall the currently authorized millage rate of .9536 mill ($0.9536 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) which may be assessed against all property in Montrose CommunitySchools, Genesee and Saginaw Counties, Michigan, be renewed for a period of 10 years, 2028 to 2037, inclusive, to continue to provide for a sinking fund for school security improvements, for the construction or repair of school buildings, for the acquisition or upgrading of technology and all other purposes authorized by law; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2028 is approximately $237,204 (this is a renewal of millage that will expire with the 2027 tax levy)?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 0.9536-mill sinking fund tax for 2028–2037 for school security, building construction and repair, and technology.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal; the millage expires with the 2027 levy.
