The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the Township of Billings, Gladwin County, Michigan, renew the previously voted increase in the limitation on the total amount of general ad valorem taxes which may be imposed for all purposes upon real and personal property in the Township, as provided in Article 9, Section 6, of the Michigan Constitution of 1963, as amended, which last resulted in a levy of 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000.00) of the taxable valuation of such property as finally equalized, for a period of ten (10) years (2027 through 2036, inclusive), which levy would provide estimated revenues to the Township of $191,974.23 in its first year if approved and levied, for the purpose of raising revenues to fund firefighting apparatus and equipment for the Billings Township Fire Department.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews the fire millage (last levied at 1.5 mills) for 10 years (2027–2036) for Billings Township Fire Department apparatus and equipment, about $191,974 in the first year.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal of the fire millage.
