The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within the Township of Wakefield be increased at 3 mills ($3 per $1,000 of taxable value), subject to any applicable Headlee rollback under Article IX, Section 31 of the Michigan Constitution, and levied for four years 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030, for general Township operating purposes, thereby raising an estimated $157,459.77 in the first year the millage is levied, this being a renewal of the three mills which will expire with the 2026 tax levy.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews Wakefield Township's 3-mill general operating millage for 2027–2030.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal.
