On April 1, 2026, the Fayette Township Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance No. 2026-02, titled “Zoning Administrator.” The Ordinance is to amend Section 18.10.B of the Township Zoning Ordinance to remove the reference to “Legislative Body.” The purpose of this amendment is to allow a Township Board member to also serve as Township Zoning Administrator. The Ordinance also provides for severability, repeal of all prior ordinances in conflict and an effective date.Shall Ordinance No. 2026-02, which amends the Township Zoning Ordinance to allow Township Board members to serve as Township Zoning Administrator be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves Ordinance 2026-02, which lets a township board member also serve as township zoning administrator.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the ordinance, which would let township board members serve as zoning administrator.
