The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within the City of Caseville imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased by .6 mills ($0.60 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of five (5) years, 2027 through 2031 inclusive, for the purpose of funding the monitoring and suppression of mosquitos, spongy moths, and other pest species within the City, and shall the City levy such increase in millage, which, if levied in full would raise an estimated $36,442.00 in the first year.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote authorizes a new 0.6-mill city tax for 2027–2031 to monitor and control mosquitoes, spongy moths and other pests.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new millage.
