The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within the City of Caseville imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased by .6 mills ($0.60 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of five (5) years, 2027 through 2031 inclusive, for the purpose of funding police protection including law enforcement personnel, equipment, training, and department operating expenses, and shall the City levy such increase in millage, which, if levied in full would raise an estimated $36,442.00 in the first year.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote authorizes a new 0.6-mill city tax for 2027–2031 for police protection, including personnel, equipment and training.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new millage.
