The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the previously voted increase in the tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes in Lake Township, Huron County, of 1.50 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), as reduced to 1.4395 mills ($1.4395 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at the rolled-back rate of 1.4395 mills ($1.4395 per $1,000 of taxable value), and shall the Township levy such millage annually for four (4) years, 2027 through 2030, inclusive, to provide funds for general operating expenses to be designated for road maintenance and spongy moth suppression, thereby raising an estimated $212,057 in the first year of the levy?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.4395-mill township tax for 2027–2030 for road maintenance and spongy moth suppression.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal.
