Shall the City of Leslie levy a new additional tax of up to 5.0000 mills ($5.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) on all taxable property within the City for a period of twenty (20) years, beginning with the 2027 tax levy and continuing through the 2046 tax levy, for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, resurfacing, rehabilitating, repairing, preserving, maintaining, and improving public streets, roads, alleys, and related street infrastructure within the City, raising an estimated $284,245.40 in the first year the millage is levied?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new tax of up to 5 mills for 20 years (2027–2046 levies) to build, repair and maintain city streets, about $284,245 in the first year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new street millage.
