The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan constitution on the taxable property in the Township of Mansfield be increased by 6.5 mills ($6.50 on each $1,000 of Taxable Value) subject to any applicable Headlee rollback under Article IX, Section 31 of the Michigan constitution for the period of five years, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030, inclusive, the taxes so raised, to be used exclusively for the reconstruction, improvement, maintenance and repair of county roads within the Township of Mansfield and for no other purpose? This levy would raise an estimated $250,937 in the first year.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets Mansfield Township levy 6.5 mills for 2026–2030 only for reconstruction, improvement, maintenance and repair of county roads in the township.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the millage.
