The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be levied on all taxable real and personal property in the Township of Goodland, Lapeer County, Michigan be increased by an amount not to exceed one-half (1/2) of one (1) mill for each one ($1.00) dollar ($0.50 for each $1,000.00) of the taxable value of such property for a period of five (5) years (2026 through 2030, inclusive) for the purpose of providing ordinance enforcement within the Township of Goodland? The estimated revenue to be collected in the first year that the millage is authorized and levied is $48,620. The proposed millage is new additional millage.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets Goodland Township levy a new tax of up to 0.5 mill for 2026–2030 to pay for ordinance enforcement.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new ordinance enforcement millage.
