The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Marathon Township impose an increase of up to 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for ten (10) years, 2026 through 2035 inclusive, for public road construction, repair and maintenance, including road drainage. If the millage is levied in its entirety, it is estimated that the 1.0 mills would raise approximately $154,800.00 when first levied in 2026.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets Marathon Township levy up to 1 mill for 2026–2035 for public road construction, repair, maintenance and drainage.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the road improvement millage.
