The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Leelanau Township impose an increase of up to 0.3000 mills ($0.30 on each $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for six years, 2026 to 2031 inclusive, for the purpose of repair and improvement of local township roads, which .30 mill increase will raise an estimated $186,902 in the first year the millage is levied.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new township tax of up to 0.3 mill for 6 years (2026-2031) to repair and improve local township roads.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new roads tax.
