This amendment will increase the dollar limits for competitive bids to require oral bids for purchases of $8,000.00 or less, written bids for purchases of $25,000.00 or less, and sealed bids for purchases over $25,000.00. These competitive bidding categories were last amended in 1996. Statement of Purpose: This amendment will increase the dollar limits for competitive bids to require oral bids for purchases of $8,000.00 or less, written bids for purchases of $25,000.00 or less, and sealed bids for purchases over $25,000.00. A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote raises bid limits: oral bids up to $8,000, written bids up to $25,000 and sealed bids over $25,000.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the bidding limits last set in 1996.
