These City Charter Amendments are proposed for the purpose of reorganizing administrative functions of the City by transferring accounting and financial management duties from the City Clerk to a separately appointed Finance Director. Shall the city charter be amended to transfer accounting and financial management duties from the elected clerk to a finance director appointed by the city manager with city council approval and to revise related provisions in charter sections 8.15, 10.2, 10.8, and 13.2?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote amends the city charter to move accounting and financial management duties from the elected clerk to a finance director appointed by the city manager with council approval.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps those duties with the city clerk.
