The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the Township of Stephenson levy a new additional millage of 0.25 mil ($0.25 per $1,000 of taxable value) for three years, 2026 through 2028 inclusive, for the purpose of assisting with the Stephenson Fire Department operations and equipment and shall the Township levy such millage, which is estimated to raise $8,312.75 in the first year the millage is levied.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets Stephenson Township levy a new 0.25 mill for 2026–2028 for Stephenson Fire Department operations and equipment.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new millage.
