The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall Butterfield Township, Missaukee County, Michigan, impose a new millage on taxable property in the township, at an amount not to exceed 0.50 mills ($0.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), for a period of (4) years, beginning with the 2027 Winter tax bill and ending the 2031 Winter tax bill, inclusive, as an additional millage, to provide funds for maintaining, acquiring, and repairing fire protection equipment and apparatus? It is estimated that 0.50 mills would raise approximately $11,588.00 when first levied in December of 2027.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote approves a new township tax of up to 0.5 mill for 4 years to maintain, buy and repair fire equipment and apparatus.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the new tax.
