The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the annual tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased, and shall the Township of Bedford be authorized to levy an additional millage of 1.00 mills ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township of Bedford, Monroe County, Michigan, each year for a period of ten (10) years to be collected annually beginning in 2028 and continuing through 2037, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds to the Bedford Township Fire Department to be used for acquiring, improving and maintaining Fire Department equipment, vehicles, buildings and apparatus? The estimated revenue for the first year of the levy, if the proposition is approved, shall be approximately $1,580,439.00.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote levies an additional 1 mill for 2028–2037 for Bedford Township Fire Department equipment, vehicles, buildings and apparatus; estimated $1,580,439 in the first year.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the additional fire millage.
