Shall the annual tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for said Township by up to 1.0 mill ($1 per $1000 on Taxable value) for the period 2027 – 2028, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds to the Whiteford Township Fire Department to be used for general operations including wages, utilities, salaries and benefits of firefighters, and maintenance to the fire department buildings and equipment? The estimated revenue for the first year of the levy, if the proposition is approved, shall be approximately $321,315.35.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote levies up to 1 mill for 2027–2028 for Whiteford Township Fire Department operations, wages, utilities and maintenance; estimated $321,315 in the first year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the fire operating millage.
