The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the voted allocated Montmorency County millage rate of 5.7500 mills ($5.75 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 4.8204 mills ($4.8204 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be increased by up to 0.9296 mills ($0.9296 per $1,000 of taxable value) to the 1976 original allocated rate to recover that millage reduction and be levied by Montmorency County for Eight (8) years (2026-2034 inclusive), for general operating purposes? If approved and levied in full, this Millage will raise an estimated additional $643,427 for general County operating purposes in the first calendar year of the levy based on state taxable valuation.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote raises the county's operating levy by up to 0.9296 mill, back to its original 5.75 mills, for eight years for general county operations.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the county's operating levy at the rolled-back 4.8204 mills.
