Shall Casnovia Township, Muskegon County, be authorized to levy a millage annually in an amount not to exceed 1.0 mill ($1.00 per each $1,000 of taxable value), of which .9598 mill is a renewal of the previously authorized millage that expired in 2025 and .0402 mill is new additional millage, against all taxable property in the Township for a period of five (5) years, 2026 through 2030, inclusive, for the purpose of funding and operating the Casnovia Township Fire Department and any other fire service operational purpose authorized by law? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect in the first year (2026) if the millage is approved and levied by the Township is approximately $130,000.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote authorizes up to 1 mill for 2026–2030 for the Casnovia Township Fire Department: a renewal of 0.9598 mill plus 0.0402 mill new.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the fire millage; the previous millage expired in 2025.
