The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the Charter Township of Oakland be authorized to renew the current Headlee reduced levy of up to 0.6809 of one mill for a period of ten (10) years beginning with the December 2027 levy for the purpose of providing funds to be used for the support of parks and recreation within the Oakland Township; including for the management, maintenance, acquisition, operation and improvement of Oakland Township parks, recreation areas, park trails, facilities, programs, recreation, and services; and to acquire new park land for Oakland Township?Approval of this proposal would renew the tax limitation levy of 0.6809 mills on all taxable property in Oakland Township. Approval of this proposal would authorize the levy of approximately $0.6809 per $1,000 of taxable property in the Township. It is estimated that this proposal would result in the authorization to collect up to $1,462,309 in the first year if approved and levied in full.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a parks and recreation tax of up to 0.6809 mill for 10 years, starting with the December 2027 levy.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal.
