The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the Charter Township of Oakland be authorized to renew the previously approved safety path millage, which was approved by the voters in 2016 at 0.17 mills, at its rolled-back rate of up to 0.1580 mills for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the December 2027 levy and continuing through the December 2036 levy, inclusive, to provide funds for the construction and maintenance of a network of safety paths, trails, and boardwalks to provide healthy recreational opportunities and safe routes to schools, parks, and neighborhoods in the Township, and for the acquisition of property and right-of-way for such purposes?Approval of this proposal would authorize the Township to levy up to 0.1580 mills, which is approximately $0.1580 per $1,000 of taxable value, on all taxable property in the Township. This proposal is estimated to raise $351,302.00 in the first year the millage is authorized and levied. Revenue from the millage will be disbursed to the Charter Township of Oakland.
