The question, as printed on the ballot

A proposal to amend the Village Charter, Section 9.1 to provide allocation of a portion of the general ad valorem tax levy for road improvements. This proposal would not increase or decrease the Village’s authorized maximum tax rate. It would only reallocate 0.75 mills of the existing Village Charter millage for public street and road improvements, maintenance, and construction. Shall Section 9.1 of the Village of Beverly Hills Village Charter be amended to add subsection e, further dividing the Village’s existing 12.9184-mill general ad valorem tax levy, subject to required rollbacks, to allocate 0.75 mills ($0.75 per $1,000 of taxable value) for public street and road improvements, maintenance, and construction purposes Beginning with the July 2027 levy through the July 2030 levy?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote sets aside 0.75 mill of the village's existing general tax levy for street and road work, July 2027 through July 2030, without raising the maximum rate.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves the village's general levy unallocated to roads.
