The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the city be authorized to increase the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within the City of the Village of Clarkston, Oakland County, by the amount of 7.0 mills ($7.00 per $1,000 of taxable value of property in the City) for the period of July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2031, inclusive, to fund a continuation of police protection, fire fighting, fire protection, and emergency response services; it is estimated that approval of this proposal would result in a new authorization to collect a total of $ 457,116 in the first year for the stated purposes.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote allows a 7-mill tax from July 2027 through June 2031 to continue police, fire protection and emergency response services.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the millage.
