The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall Evart Township, Osceola County, be authorized to levy a millage annually in an amount not to exceed 2.0 mills ($2.00 per each $1,000 oftaxable value), of which 1.9165 mills is a renewal of the previously authorized millage that expired in 2025 and .0835 mill is new additional millage, for six (6) years, 2026 through 2031, inclusive, to provide funds for operating, equipping, constructing, and purchasing for the Evart Area Joint Fire Department or for any other purpose authorized by law for fire service purposes? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect in the first year of levy (2026) if the millage is approved is approximately $166,000.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote lets the township levy up to 2.0 mills for 6 years (2026-2031), renewing 1.9165 mills and adding 0.0835 mill, for the Evart Area Joint Fire Department.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the fire tax.
