The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxed within the Township of Big Creek imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for said Township by 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1000 of taxable value) for the period of 2026 through 2035 inclusive for the purpose of road maintenance, improvements including pedestrian travel and lighting: and shall the township levy such increase in millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year and estimated $168,365.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a 1-mill tax increase from 2026 through 2035 for road maintenance and improvements, including pedestrian travel and lighting.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the tax.
