The question, as printed on the ballot

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the building and site sinking fund millage that expires with the 2028 tax levy. Shall the currently authorized millage rate of .9 mill ($0.90 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) which may be assessed against all property in Birch Run Area Schools, Saginaw and Genesee Counties, Michigan, be renewed for a period of 10 years, 2029 to 2038, inclusive, to continue to provide for a sinking fund for the purchase of real estate for sites for, and the construction or repair of, school buildings; for school security improvements; for the acquisition or upgrading of technology; and all other purposes authorized by law; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2029 is approximately $432,694 (this is a renewal of millage that will expire with the 2028 tax levy)?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 0.9-mill sinking fund tax for 2029–2038 for sites, building construction and repair, security and technology.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal; the millage expires with the 2028 levy.
