The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the previous voted increase in the limitation on general ad valorem taxes in the Village of Birch Run, currently 1.5000 mill ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), be renewed and levied for eight years, 2027 through 2034, both inclusive, subject to reduction as provided by law, to finance continued road maintenance of major and local streets in the Village? This proposed millage is a renewal of previously authorized millage which expires in 2026. It is estimated that a levy of 1.5000 mill would provide revenue of $127,704 in the first year, if approved and levied. The revenue from this millage will be disbursed to the Village of Birch Run.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.5-mill village tax for 2027–2034 for maintenance of major and local streets.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal.
