The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against taxable property in Speaker Township, Sanilac County, Michigan, be increased by 1.0000 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of six (6) years, 2027 through 2032, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for road maintenance, preservation, repair, construction and improvement, and dust control, including but not limited to road repairs, resurfacing, grading, gravel, drainage improvements, culvert work, dust abatement and control, and other necessary road-related improvements within the Township, raising an estimated $55,000 in the first year if levied? This proposal is for a new additional millage.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets Speaker Township levy a new 1-mill tax for 2027–2032 for road maintenance, repair, construction and dust control.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new road millage.
