The question, as printed on the ballot
The proposed amendment substitutes in the first two paragraphs of this section the threshold amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) for the current amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00). The first paragraph requires comparative prices for purchases or sales under the threshold while the second paragraph mandates Council approval, sealed bids and other requirements for purchases or sales above the threshold. Shall the proposed amendment be adopted?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote raises the charter's purchasing threshold from $3,000 to $5,000; purchases above it need council approval and sealed bids.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the $3,000 threshold.
