The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Emmett Township’s voted allocated millage of one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), as reduced by the required rollback to .6911mils ($.6911 per $1,000 of taxable value), be increased by .3089 mills ($.3089 per $1,000 of taxable value) to restore the millage lost by the application of the Headlee reduction for a period of 20 years, 2026 through 2046, inclusive to provide funds for all Township purposes authorized by law, and may the Township levy such new additional millage annually which will raise in the first year of the levy an estimated $108,907.61?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote adds 0.3089 mill for 2026–2046 to restore Emmett Township's voted 1-mill operating tax, reduced by the Headlee rollback, for general township purposes.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the increase; the operating levy stays at the rolled-back 0.6911 mill.
