The question, as printed on the ballot

For the purpose of raising funds to be used to by the Village of Capac to improve, construct and/or repair roads, highways, streets and/or bridges under the jurisdiction of the Village of Capac, shall the limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all property within the Village of Capac be increased 2 mills ($2.00 per $1,000 of state taxable valuation) for a period of four (4) years, 2026 through 2030, inclusive? This would be a renewal of an existing millage, which expires after the 2026 levy. Based on the State of Michigan taxable values of real property, this millage would raise an estimated $95,293.00 the first year it is levied.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 2-mill Village of Capac property tax for four years to build and repair village roads, streets and bridges.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal; the current millage expires after the 2026 levy.
