The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the limitation of the amount of property taxes which may be assessed each year against property in the Township of Akron, County of Tuscola, State of Michigan, be renewed for a period of five (5) years 2027 through 2031 inclusive up to the original levy of one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value, currently reduced to $0.9994 per each thousand dollars of taxable value to account for the Headlee reduction). Said millage to be used exclusively for fire and ambulance services and equipment as provided for by Section 6, Article IX of the 1963 Constitution of the State of Michigan. In the first year of the levy, this proposal will raise an estimated sum of $150,660.70

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a township tax of up to 1 mill for 2027–2031 used only for fire and ambulance services and equipment.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal.
