The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the Village of Cass City impose an increase of 0.9932 mill ($0.9932 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for four (4) years, 2027 through 2030 inclusive, and shall be exclusively used for police activities, including road patrol, School Resource Officer, community policing, and emergency response within the Village of Cass City which 0.9932 mill increase will raise an estimated $74,397.00 in the first year the millage is levied. As required by Michigan law, a small portion of the millage shall be captured by the Cass City Downtown Development Authority.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote authorizes a new 0.9932-mill village tax for 2027–2030 used only for police services, including road patrol and a school resource officer.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new millage.
