This millage is intended to bring the Township back to the original one (1) mill for general operating purposes which has been rolled back to .7797 mills since its implementation by vote in 1978.Shall Paw Paw Township impose an increase of up to .2203 mills ($.2203 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for twenty (20) years, 2026 through 2045 (inclusive), to support the general operations of the Township, which .2203 mill increase will raise an estimated $76,674.75 in the first year the millage is levied?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote adds up to 0.2203 mill for 20 years (2026–2045) for general township operations, restoring the original 1 mill; about $76,675 the first year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the millage increase.
