The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the expired previously voted increase in the total tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Grosse Ile Township, 0.15 mills ($0.15 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 0.1439 mills ($0.1439 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at 0.1439 mills ($0.1439 per $1,000 of taxable value) and levied for a period of ten (10) years from 2026 through 2035 inclusive, to provide funds for the maintenance of bike paths in the Township, raising an estimated $119,000 in the first calendar year the millage is levied of which a portion of the collection will be disbursed to the Grosse Ile Township Downtown Development Authority and the Brownfield Authority as legally required?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.1439-mill tax for 10 years (2026–2035) to maintain the township's bike paths.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal of the bike path millage.
