Shall Grosse Ile Township impose an increase of up to 0.10 mill ($0.10 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the total tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for a period of 3 years, 2026 through 2028 inclusive, to provide funds for the purpose of maintenance and repair of public property and trails designated as greenways/open space properties, which 0.10 mill increase will raise an estimated $83,614 in the first year the millage is levied, of which a small portion will be disbursed to the Grosse Ile Township Downtown Development Authority and Brownfield Authority as legally required?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new tax of up to 0.10 mill for three years (2026–2028) to maintain and repair greenway and open space properties and trails.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the new greenways and open space millage.
