The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the City of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan be authorized and empowered to levy a general valorem property tax which in any one year shall not exceed 2.0 mills (2.0 mills per $1,000.00 of State Equalized Valuation for ten (10) years, 2027 to 2036? The continuation of the dedicated Millage for Parks and Recreation Operations, which include Youth and Senior Programs, is up to 2.0 mills. It has been determined that up to 2.0 mills is necessary to operate these programs and to continue the current level of service. General Fund dollars are not available to support these programs. The average cost to a homeowner is estimated to be $54 and would generate an estimated $580,000 if the maximum allowable millage is levied.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote continues a tax of up to 2.0 mills for 10 years (2027–2036) for parks and recreation operations, including youth and senior programs.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the continuation of the parks and recreation millage.
