The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be imposed upon taxable property in the City of Rockwood be increased by restoring 1.9055 mills ($1.9055 per $1,000 of taxable value) of the City's previously reduced charter-authorized operating tax levy as a new additional millage for a period of ten years, 2026 through 2035, inclusive, thereby increasing the City's maximum authorized operating tax levy from 15.9814 mills to 17.8869 mills, with all revenue generated from the restored 1.9055 mills to be used exclusively for the repair, maintenance, preservation, and improvement of public roads, streets, bridges, sidewalks, and other transportation infrastructure? If approved and levied, this restoration is estimated to raise approximately $102,761.42 in 2026, the first year of the levy.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote restores 1.9055 mills of operating tax for 10 years (2026–2035), to be used only for roads, bridges, sidewalks and other transportation infrastructure.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the millage restoration.
